The cross is the hope
of Christians
|
Dear Family: Before going to Battle the Emperor Constantine saw a cross in the sky and heard these words: "In this sign shall you conquer." It was through his suffering and death on the cross that Jesus bore the most fruit and drew all men to Himself. Down through the ages that sublime, loving sacrifice has drawn countless numbers of souls to God. His death was victory. Only by participating in Jesus’ suffering can we be victorious over sin and live a grace filled life. Just as a soul who is pruned by suffering and crosses draws more grace n his soul. He becomes like Jesus. If we knew the value of suffering we would thank God for it. And we would do as Jesus did on the cross and pray for anyone who may cause us any suffering, help us to be one with Jesus assuring us a place in His Kingdom, if we accept it rightly. Realize too that his sacrifice on Calvary is being renewed in every Holy Mass. Don’t miss this opportunity. It is the most important thing that could happen in your life. God Bless You! - Mother M. Angelica When life seems impossible – try praying! |

Please support our fundraiser!
A good reason to support our fundraiser? You can help the Youth Oratory and St. Michael Center: we will teach our youth and their families about their Faith through our loaning library. Throughout the last several months SMC has been collecting books that others have read and want to share with others. We have hundreds of titles, from Saints to youth prayers to doctrines of the Church. The best part is that you can just stop by, browse and borrow!!! Who says education isn’t free!!! |
