On Thursday, June 7, I arrived in Hawaii to visit one of my best friends, Mary Klipp, who works for the St. Michael Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.  During the next two weeks, I became very familiar with the work St. Michael Center does for Catholics in Hawaii and around the world.  The Center has a computer club at St. Augustine Parish, one of the oldest churches in Waikiki.  The club helps youth, adults, and visitors by helping them to learn how to use this wonderful technology, and how it can be helpful to their lives.  St. Michael Center is trying to bring more of these computer clubs to other churches around the islands.  St. Michael's also invites people to send in their prayer requests both at special prayer events around the state and through their website www.smcenter.org.  These prayer requests are remembered each week by the St. Michael volunteers at a weekly Mass and prayer group at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Honolulu.  The Center also has a Catholic bookstore to offer people learning materials to enhance their faith.  St. Michael's is a great organization that seeks to bring Catholic people and organizations together from around the world and to inform Catholics about the Church.  In my opinion, St. Michael Center is doing a wonderful job and with our help and support, imagine the leaps and bounds this organization can continue to do for the Catholic community.

Dear Saint Michael Center,

Your September issue was truly filled with wonderful inspirational stories that spoke to my heart and brought tears to my eyes.  As well as very informative and down to earth articles that made my eyes pop regarding the angles and devil.  Yes, indeed – God is what we need – from the Columbine Dad article.

PRAISE GOD for many of those articles touched my heart.  Thank you so much for printing a wonderful, down to earth, eye popping articles.  I truly enjoyed it and I am sure this paper will touch and have touched many.

With Love,

L. S. (Hilo, Hawaii)

To whom it may concern,

Thank you for the recent copy of your newspaper.  It is excellent!  I want to commend you on working for such a worthwhile cause – our youth!  After all they are the future of our country and without proper moral guidance our country cannot stand.  When I see the direction in which our country is going it is refreshing to see sermons taking a stand.  God bless you in your future endeavors.

Enclosed please find a check for thirty dollars, which includes shipping and handling plus a small donation for your center.
